How to weight loss in gym?

I've joined a gym recently, but I'm not seeing much progress with weight loss. What kind of routine or exercises should I focus on there to actually start shedding kilos?

Gym is great, but remember you can't outrun a bad diet! I used to lift heavy weights for an hour and then celebrate with two plates of momos, which defeated the whole purpose. Balance your workouts with some portion control on your favorite foods.

Before you jump into heavy gym workouts, please get a general health checkup done. I started a high-intensity gym routine too fast without knowing I had a severe vitamin deficiency, and it ended up causing severe joint issues. Be safe and talk to a doctor first.

If you are starting the gym to lose weight, please monitor your blood pressure. I had to consult my doctor to find out which exercises were safe for my hypertension. Steady cardio and light weights, along with lifestyle changes, worked wonders for me.

My family suggested many herbal drinks for weight loss, but my doctor advised that a balanced gym routine is best for joint mobility and heart health. Start slowly under a certified trainer's guidance and don't lift heavy weights on day one.

I just went through this journey and lost 8 kgs in six months. What worked for me at the gym was lifting weights three times a week and doing inclined treadmill walks instead of intense running. Consistency is key, results will definitely follow.

Please get a proper medical checkup before starting any strenuous gym routine. I ignored a constant dull ache in my back and pushed through heavy gym workouts, which eventually turned into a severe slip disc. Listen to your body and consult a professional.

Don't stress too much about looking perfect at the gym, just go and have fun with it! Mix some cardio with basic weight training to keep it interesting. Just being consistent three to four days a week is a huge win, honestly.
