How to use laxatives for weight loss?

My friends are all talking about using laxatives to quickly lose weight for an event next month. I'm a bit concerned if it's safe or effective. Can anyone explain how people typically use laxatives for weight loss and if it's a good idea?

Please don't do this, yaar. Actually, laxatives just clear your bowel and make you lose water weight, not real fat. It is super dangerous and will leave you dehydrated and weak. Stick to proper workouts instead.

I tried taking high-fiber laxatives last year thinking it would cleanse my stomach and help me get shredded. Honestly, it was a terrible idea. I just ended up with severe stomach cramps and spent the whole day in the washroom. Totally useless for actual fat loss.

Using medicinal laxatives for weight management is highly unsafe. If you are struggling with digestion or want a healthy gut, focus on high-fiber foods like oats, green vegetables, and papaya. Natural digestion is the only healthy way to stay fit.

This is one of the worst internet myths. Abusing laxatives can cause severe electrolyte imbalance and kidney strain. Laxatives are strictly for treating constipation under medical guidance, not for weight loss. Please consult a doctor before doing anything so risky.

I totally get it, when we are desperate to lose weight, we feel like trying anything to see the scale go down. But please be gentle with your body. Laxatives can damage your digestive system permanently if misused. It's really not worth the risk.
