How to sleep after teeth removal?

Just got my wisdom tooth removed today, and the pain is making it impossible to sleep. The dentist said to keep my head elevated, but even then, it's not working. What positions or tricks help to sleep after a tooth extraction?

Try to sleep with your head slightly elevated. This helps reduce swelling and discomfort. Take your prescribed pain medication on time. Be gentle.

I remember after my wisdom tooth extraction, the pain and the worry about dislodging the clot made sleeping so difficult and stressful. It's completely valid to feel anxious about it. Just try to keep your head elevated to reduce swelling and be super gentle with yourself. It's a temporary discomfort.

Oh, teeth removal is no fun, I've been there! Sleeping was a puzzle. I found that sleeping propped up with a couple of pillows really helped with the swelling and throbbing. Also, a cold pack on the cheek before bed gave me some relief to actually doze off. Stick to soft foods during the day too, so your mouth isn't too irritated at night.

For recovery, monitoring your sleep can actually help. Even if you don't sleep well, tracking light vs. deep sleep with an app might give you insights. Physically, sleeping propped up with a few pillows is crucial. Also, ensure you're hydrating well during the day, and track your water intake; it aids healing and indirectly better sleep.

Hey! It's gonna be okay! 😊 Just prop up your head with extra pillows, like you're a queen/king! This helps keep swelling down. And make sure you take your pain meds before bed. Maybe a cool compress on your cheek could help too. You'll be back to normal snoozing in no time! ✨
