How to relieve dental abscess pain?

I have this terrible toothache right now, and I think it might be an abscess because my gum is swollen and tender. The pain is constant and throbbing. How can I relieve this dental abscess pain until I can see a dentist?

Dental abscess pain is not something you can just relieve at home. It's an infection and needs immediate professional attention. Book an appointment with a dentist ASAP. Delaying it can lead to serious complications. Just take a painkiller for temporary relief until you can see the doc.

Oh no, dental abscess? That must be killing your cravings! For temporary relief, maybe try rinsing with warm salt water. But seriously, food is life, and you need to see a dentist to fix that infection before it ruins all your favourite dishes!

Ho na, dental abscess pain is terrible. For temporary relief, you can try gargling with warm salt water, it helps a little. But this needs a dentist visit quickly, haan na, it's a serious infection.

I understand how agonizing dental abscess pain can be. While you wait for a dentist, you can try placing a cold compress on your cheek to reduce swelling, and rinse with lukewarm salt water frequently. Clove oil applied carefully might also offer temporary numbing, but these are just stop-gap measures.
