How to not gain extra weight during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and everyone keeps telling me I'm 'eating for two', but I'm worried about gaining too much weight. My first pregnancy was tough because of the extra weight. What can I do to ensure I don't gain extra weight this time?

Actually, gaining some weight during pregnancy is totally normal and healthy, yaar. Don't go on any crazy diets to stop it. Just avoid eating junk food for 'two' and focus on simple home-cooked meals, and definitely ask your gynecologist for a proper diet chart.

A balanced vegetarian diet rich in fiber, leafy greens, and proteins like sprouts and paneer can help manage healthy weight gain. However, you should never restrict your food intake or go on a weight-loss diet during this crucial time. Always follow the personalized nutritional advice of your doctor.

When I was pregnant, my family kept forcing me to eat double portions, but my doctor told me that is a myth. I focused on eating nutritious foods like fruits, nuts, and lentils, and went for a gentle 20-minute walk daily. It kept my weight gain completely healthy and normal for my baby's growth.

With the crazy late-night cravings and zero sleep during my pregnancy, stopping weight gain was the last thing on my mind! Honestly, trying to restrict yourself too much will just make you miserable and tired. Just keep your checks regular with your gynecologist and don't stress over a few kilos.
