How to avoid weight gain on lupron?

My doctor prescribed Lupron for my endometriosis, and I've heard some people gain weight on it. I'm already struggling with my weight, so I'm really worried. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Oh, Lupron is a strong one, especially with hormonal effects. As someone with PCOS, I know how sensitive weight can be to hormones. It's really important to talk to your doctor about this. Maybe they can suggest a diet plan or some exercises specific to your situation. Don't feel like you have to figure this out alone.

My doctor had mentioned that Lupron could cause changes in metabolism, leading to weight gain. He emphasized a low-glycemic diet and moderate cardio, like brisk walking or swimming, for at least 30 minutes most days of the week. He also said to stay hydrated to combat potential bloating.

I was on Lupron last year, and yes, weight gain was a worry. What helped me was having a fixed eating schedule, no late-night snacks at all. And I started doing yoga at home, just simple poses. It really helped with the bloating and overall mood too. Ask your doctor about a diet plan.

Lupron can impact bone density too, so weight-bearing exercises are good, which also helps with weight management. Cut out processed foods and sugary drinks, focus on lean protein and veggies. But seriously, consult your doctor or a dietician first.

My daughter was on Lupron, and we were quite concerned. Our doctor advised us to ensure she eats a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, and avoids junk food. Also, we made sure she stayed active, even if it was just playing outdoors. Always talk to the specialist handling the case, they can give the best advice.
