How to avoid swelling during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester now, and I'm starting to notice some swelling in my feet and hands. Everyone says it's normal, but I want to know if there are ways to minimize it. It's getting a bit uncomfortable, na?

Oh, the swelling! I had it really bad during my first pregnancy. What my doctor advised and really helped was to keep my feet elevated whenever I sat, drink lots and lots of water, and try not to stand for too long. Also, compression stockings can be a lifesaver, ask your doc if those are right for you. It's tough, but you'll get through it.

During pregnancy, it's vital to watch your diet carefully for swelling. Reducing salt intake is a big one. I also found that eating fresh fruits and vegetables rich in water content, like cucumber and watermelon, can help. And make sure you're getting enough protein. Always check with your gynaecologist about specific dietary changes, though!

Beti, pregnancy mein pairon mein sujan hona aam baat hai. Humare zamane mein kehte the ki bahut der khade mat raho. Jab bhi baitho, pair thode oonche kar ke rakho. Aur haan, namak kam khao. Ek aur cheez, raat ko sone se pehle doodh mein haldi daal ke piyo, kehte hain usse bhi araam milta hai. Lekin doctor se poochh lena haan.

Swelling in pregnancy is common, especially if you're working. My main tips are to invest in good, comfortable shoes, and try to take short breaks to walk around or elevate your feet every hour if you're sitting for long. Also, keep a water bottle handy and sip throughout the day. It's about consistent small changes that fit into your busy schedule.

Haan, swelling toh hogi pregnancy mein. But you can manage it. Kam namak khaao, paani khoob piyo, aur chalte raho thoda thoda. Pair oonche karke baitho jab bhi time mile. Agar zyada ho toh doctor ko zaroor bataao, theek hai? No need to suffer silently.

I remember the swelling during my pregnancies, it was quite uncomfortable. What really helped me was staying very hydrated – drinking plenty of water, even when I didn't feel thirsty. Also, taking short walks and avoiding standing for long periods made a difference. It's usually normal, but always good to mention to your doctor if it's excessive or sudden.
