How to avoid gestational diabetes during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and my gynaecologist brought up the risk of gestational diabetes. I'm really trying to keep healthy for my baby. What specific things can I do during my pregnancy to avoid getting this condition?

Haan, this is imporant. My bhabhi also had this concern. The doc told her to eat balanced meals, not too much मीठा. Aur haan, light walking is also very good. Just follow your doctor's advice na.

My gynaecologist stressed the importance of maintaining a healthy weight before pregnancy, if possible, and then focusing on a diet low in refined sugars and high in fiber during pregnancy. Regular, moderate exercise, like brisk walking, is also crucial unless medically advised otherwise. Early screening helps a lot too.

Okay, so the main things are balanced meals with good carbs and proteins, avoid sugary drinks and processed foods. And try to get some physical activity daily, even a short walk is better than nothing. Your doctor will monitor your sugar levels, so just follow their plan.

Child, staying positive and calm is also a big part of health. Eat simple, wholesome food, as nature intended. And walk a little every day if you can. Trust in God, but also take care of your body, it is a temple.
