How often to use sauna for weight loss?

My friend swears by saunas for weight loss and muscle recovery. I'm thinking of trying it out. How often is it recommended to use a sauna for weight loss? Is once or twice a week enough?

In yoga, we focus on internal cleansing. Saunas provide external cleansing through sweat, which is good. For general well-being and gentle detox, twice a week can be beneficial. For weight loss, balanced diet and consistent yoga/pranayama will give better, lasting results.

Saunas can help with temporary water weight loss due to sweating, but it's not a sustainable method for fat loss. For overall well-being, using it 2-3 times a week for 15-20 minutes, followed by hydration, can be fine. Always ensure you don't have underlying health conditions that might make it unsafe.

Welcome! Saunas are great for relaxation and detox. For weight loss, don't rely solely on them; it's mostly water weight. If you use it, limit to 2-3 times a week, 15-20 minutes each time, and stay very hydrated. Always listen to your body, and never overdo it.

Saunas feel great for relaxing muscles, and you do feel lighter after sweating! But for actual, long-term weight loss, diet and exercise are key. If you plan to use sauna regularly, especially for a specific purpose, do consult your doctor to ensure it's safe for your health.

Beta, for weight loss, garma garam paani, light food, and walking is best. Sauna can make you sweat a lot, which is good for skin. But for body weight, proper diet is important. If you want to use sauna, maybe 2-3 times a week, but drink lots of water.

If you're using a sauna specifically for a health goal like weight loss, it's wise to discuss it with your physician, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions. A good hospital doctor would give you specific recommendations based on your health profile and clarify the real benefits and risks.
