How often should you get b12 shots for weight loss?

A friend told me about B12 shots for weight loss, saying it helps boost metabolism. I'm struggling to lose those last few kilos. If I were to consider this, how often would I need to get these shots for them to be effective for weight management?

B12 shots for weight loss can be quite expensive, and often insurance doesn't cover them unless you have a proven deficiency. Before spending money on shots, get your B12 levels checked. If they're fine, the shots probably won't do much for weight loss and it's better to invest in a good diet plan.

While B12 is essential for metabolism, and a deficiency can cause fatigue, the idea that B12 shots directly cause weight loss is largely unproven. It's more about correcting a deficiency. Any shots or supplements for weight loss should strictly be under a doctor's supervision, always.

Honestly, instead of shots, focus on getting your B12 from diet if possible. Things like dairy, eggs, meat. If you're vegetarian, then maybe supplements are needed. For weight loss, it's usually diet and exercise. These shots are a bit fancy, and not always needed.

B12 shots? I'd rather spend that money on some healthy, delicious food that makes me happy and full! Haha. But really, if you're looking for weight loss, maybe try controlling those cravings with mindful eating and some fun exercises. Shots seem a bit extreme unless there's a deficiency.

My friend tried B12 shots for energy, not exactly for weight loss. He said it helped him feel less tired, which then made him more active. So indirectly maybe. But he only got them after his doctor said he was deficient. Don't just get them without a doc's green light.

I've explored various options for weight loss, and B12 shots are often marketed as a quick fix, but that's rarely the case. They're most effective if you have a genuine B12 deficiency, which can impact energy levels. For actual weight loss, a consistent calorie deficit and exercise plan is the most reliable way. Consult a nutritionist for a proper plan.
