How often should i weigh myself for weight loss?

I've started a new diet and exercise plan for weight loss, and I'm really keen to track my progress. How often should I step on the scale? I don't want to get discouraged if I don't see changes every day, but also want to know if what I'm doing is working.

Oh, this is such a mental game! I used to weigh myself daily and it would just make me anxious with all the fluctuations. Now, I try to limit it to once a week, maybe on the same day and time. It helps me focus on the bigger picture instead of getting demotivated by small daily changes. How often do others weigh themselves without getting too stressed?

Beta, weighing yourself too much can make you sad. The body is not like a machine. Once a week, maybe on a fixed day, is enough. Focus on eating ghar ka khaana, fresh vegetables, and walk daily. That is more important for good health, not just the number on the scale. Be patient with your body.

For weight loss, especially if you have thyroid issues, weighing yourself daily isn't the most accurate or helpful. Due to hormonal fluctuations and water retention, the scale can vary a lot. I find weighing myself once a week, first thing in the morning, gives a more realistic trend. Always combine this with proper diet, exercise, and regular thyroid function tests and doctor follow-ups.

Weighing myself? Oh, only when I'm feeling brave, and usually not after a big biryani! 😂 Seriously though, once a week is sensible. Daily fluctuations are normal and can just demotivate you. Better to focus on consistent effort and how your clothes fit. The scale is just one number, it doesn't tell the whole story of your health journey.

From a diet perspective, daily weighing can be really misleading due to water weight, what you ate, etc. I recommend weighing yourself once a week, ideally on the same day and at the same time, in similar clothes. This gives a clearer picture of actual fat loss over time. Focus on consistent healthy eating and less on daily scale fluctuations.

I totally get how obsessive the weighing scale can make you! It's tough not to look every day. But for weight loss, most experts and my own experience suggest weighing yourself once a week. This helps you see trends without getting discouraged by daily fluctuations. Pick a fixed day and time, and stick to it. Focus on how your clothes fit and how you feel, too!

For managing weight, just like managing my blood sugar, consistency in tracking is important but not obsessive. I weigh myself once a week, on a fixed morning, before eating anything. This gives a clearer picture of the trend. Daily weighing can be frustrating due to water weight. Focus on healthy eating, regular exercise, and consistent blood sugar checks, and the weight will follow.
