How much weight should you gain during pregnancy?

My first pregnancy, so a bit nervous about everything. Just wondering what's the right amount of weight I should be gaining. My friends have gained very different amounts, so I'm confused.

Most health apps and pregnancy trackers suggest a gain of 11-16 kg for someone starting with a normal BMI. If you're underweight or overweight, the range will be different. It's a good idea to track your weight and discuss with your doctor to stay within a healthy range.

This is a very important question and should not be taken lightly. The amount of weight to gain depends entirely on your pre-pregnancy BMI. Please, please get it checked with your gynaecologist. They will give you a personalized target to ensure safety for both mother and baby.

I just went through this! My doctor advised me to aim for 12-15 kg gain, starting from a normal BMI. I tried to stick to healthy meals, but cravings did happen. It's a journey, and your body will adjust. Just keep up with your checkups.

Mere ghar mein, my sister-in-law gained around 14 kgs, and her doctor said it was perfectly fine for her. Every woman's body is different during pregnancy. What worked for her might not be the same for everyone. It's really best to listen to your own doctor.

Ah, pregnancy weight gain! My wife gained about 13 kg, and then I gained 5 kg just from eating with her cravings. 😂 Doctors typically say 11-16 kg for a healthy woman. Just make sure it's healthy weight, not just extra pakoras. Consult your doc, they'll give you the real numbers.

Oh, I remember panicking about this during my first pregnancy! My doctor reassured me that for most women with a healthy starting weight, 11 to 16 kg is a normal range. Don't stress if it fluctuates a bit, just focus on healthy eating and gentle activity if your doctor approves. It's all normal.
