How much water to drink to avoid kidney stones?

My brother just had surgery for kidney stones, and the doctor stressed that hydration is key to avoid them. I want to be proactive and make sure I'm drinking enough. What's the ideal amount to prevent kidney stones?

I can only share my personal experience here, not medical advice. I've heard from many that to avoid kidney stones, staying well-hydrated is key. My friend's doctor told her to drink enough so her urine is almost clear. I try to drink water throughout the day, especially infused with lemon or cucumber.

Beti, kidney stones ki takleef maine dekhi hai mere parivar mein. Humare zamane mein toh bas itna hi bolte the ki khoob paani piyo, saaf paani. Subah uth kar do glass, aur din bhar. Bahut fayda karta hai. Tension mat lo, bas dhyaan rakho.

When I first heard about kidney stones, I panicked and started chugging water like crazy! But my doctor said consistent, adequate hydration is better than overdoing it suddenly. Aim for 2.5-3 liters consistently. It's more about steady intake than just a sudden large amount.

To effectively prevent kidney stones, the general recommendation is to drink enough water to produce at least 2 liters of urine daily. This typically means consuming about 2.5 to 3 liters of fluids throughout the day. Lemon water is also often suggested.

To keep those pesky kidney stones away, just keep sipping on water all day long! 💧 Aim for clear or very light yellow pee, that's a good sign you're hydrated. Lemon water also works wonders! 🍋 Stay fresh!

Oh god, kidney stones sound terrifying, I always overthink these health things! But yes, everyone says water, water, water. It makes sense, right? To flush things out. I try to keep a big bottle near me always. It helps to feel like you're doing something proactive.

My older sister had a kidney stone, and it was so painful for her. Ever since, she's super strict about her water intake. She drinks about 3 liters a day, and she swears by adding a little lemon. It's a simple habit but so important for long-term health.
