How much sugar intake for weight loss?

I've started a new diet plan to lose weight, and it's quite strict about sugar. I'm trying to figure out what's a healthy and effective sugar intake limit for weight loss. What do you recommend?

Honestly, this question used to give me so much anxiety too! Like, how much is too much? It's so confusing to figure out the right amount of sugar when you're trying to lose weight. Don't feel bad for asking, it's a genuine concern.

Haha, for weight loss? Zero, ideally! Kidding, but seriously, that's what it feels like sometimes when you're trying to cut down. My sweet tooth cries every day, but cutting out sugary drinks helped me a lot. Good luck with your weight loss journey!

As a vegetarian, I focus a lot on whole foods. For weight loss, it's not just about sugar but also overall calorie intake. Try to limit added sugars as much as possible and focus on natural sugars from fruits in moderation. Balance is key.

For me, managing BP and weight means watching sugar very closely. My doctor suggested focusing on reducing processed foods and sugary drinks, not just thinking about a number. Regular checkups help me stay on track, and they can guide you too.

Please be careful with self-diagnosing or strict diets without guidance. I once tried to drastically cut things and ended up with other issues. It’s best to consult a dietician or a doctor who can give you a personalized plan for weight loss, especially with sugar intake.

Even for weight loss without diabetes, keeping sugar low is a good idea. For diabetics like me, it's crucial. I'd say aim for very minimal added sugar. A dietician can give specific grams, but generally, less is more when it comes to sugar for weight management.
