How much sodium per day for weight loss?

I'm on a weight loss journey and tracking my diet more closely. I know sodium can cause water retention, so I'm trying to limit it. How much sodium per day is advisable when trying to lose weight?

Oh, this is me trying to lose weight for college! I read somewhere that keeping sodium under 2300mg is good, but some even say 1500mg. It helps with water retention, right? So less bloating. Still figuring out how to actually do it though, especially with hostel food!

It's easy to get anxious about all the numbers when trying to lose weight, I've been there. For sodium, generally aiming for less than 2300 mg per day is recommended. It mostly helps with water weight, which can make you *feel* heavier. Don't stress too much, focus on whole foods.

For weight loss, I try to keep my sodium intake below 2000mg. It really helps with the bloating, especially before a special occasion! Cutting down on packaged snacks and fast food makes the biggest difference. Focus on fresh home-cooked meals.

Beta, vajan kam karne ke liye namak toh kam hi khaana chahiye. Humare ghar mein toh pehle se hi kam namak ka khana banta hai. Zyada namak se sharir mein paani ruk jaata hai. Ghar ka saaf suthra khana khaao, sab theek rahega.

Vajan kam karne ke liye namak kam khaao. Humare yahan toh bolte hain, jitna kam namak utna accha. Packet waale khaane mein bahut namak hota hai, usse door raho. Ghar ka khana khao aur thoda paani zyada piyo.

While sodium isn't directly a calorie source, high intake can lead to water retention and make weight loss feel harder. I try to stay below 2000mg daily. Focus on whole, unprocessed vegetarian foods, as they naturally have less sodium than processed items.
