How much psyllium husk per day for weight loss?

My friend lost a lot of weight and she swears by psyllium husk. She said it really helped her feel full and improved her digestion. I want to try it for my weight loss, but how much psyllium husk should I take per day?

I agree, taking just one teaspoon of isabgol with warm water before dinner really helps control hunger pangs.

Isabgol toh hamare ghar mein kabz ke liye hamesha se use hota hai. Weight loss ke liye aap roz raat ko bas ek chota chammach gungune paani ya dahi ke saath lein. Par haan, iske saath din bhar mein kam se kam 8-10 glass paani zaroor peena, nahi toh pet saaf nahi hoga.

Does anyone else get severe bloating or stomach cramps when taking psyllium husk? I started with one tablespoon for weight loss but my stomach felt so heavy. Should I reduce the quantity?

Ah, the magical isabgol—our grandmothers' cure-all for everything from weight loss to life's existential problems! Just stick to one teaspoon a day. Don't eat it like a snack or you will spend your entire day running to the washroom!

Actually, yaar, isabgol is great for fullness, but don't overdo it. Just take 1 teaspoon with a huge glass of water about 30 mins before your main meal. If you don't drink enough water, it can actually cause constipation instead of helping!

I panicked completely on day two because my stomach felt super full and tight after taking psyllium husk. But then my doctor told me it's totally normal as fiber swells up. Just drink lots of water and stick to 5-10 grams maximum daily; it works beautifully.

I was so worried about taking psyllium husk because I read it can block your intestines if not taken properly. If you are anxious like me, just start with a very small dose—maybe half a teaspoon—and see how your body reacts before increasing it.
