How much protein to eat a day for weight loss?

Been trying to shed a few kilos lately. My nutritionist suggested increasing protein in my diet. I usually eat dal and some chicken, but I'm not sure if it's enough. How much protein should one actually eat in a day for effective weight loss?

I was also struggling with weight loss and honestly, aiming for about 60 to 70 grams of protein worked best for me. It keeps you so full that you don't even crave junk food in the evening. Just start small with paneer or eggs daily!

My nutritionist advised that for safe weight loss, 1.2 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is standard. However, people with underlying liver or kidney issues must be cautious. It's best to get a routine blood checkup before starting.

A light and mindful approach to weight loss is always best. I suggest consuming natural plant-based proteins like moong, chana, and curd daily, combined with deep breathing exercises. This keeps your digestion strong and body naturally lean.

I used to get so stressed thinking I was eating too little protein and losing muscle instead of fat. If you are also feeling anxious, just take a deep breath. Getting about 1 gram per kg of your target weight is a safe, simple starting point.

Maine toh wazan ghatane ke liye bohot saare nuskhe apnaye hain. Sabse badhiya kaam sattu ka ghol aur dahi hi karta hai, isse bina kamzori ke wazan kam hota hai. Roz thoda paneer ya dahi zaroor khayein, fayda hoga.

I am planning to start a weight loss diet from next week but I am a bit confused. Is it true that eating too much protein can cause acidity or heat in the body? How do we manage that?

Look, if you are busy, just ensure you have a protein source in every single meal—like sprouts for breakfast, dal for lunch, and paneer for dinner. This easily helps you reach about 1.2g per kg of your weight without wasting time on calorie-counting apps.
