How much l-lysine should i take for weight loss?

I heard from an online forum that L-lysine can sometimes assist with weight loss, and I'm trying to manage my weight. If I were to try it, how much L-lysine should I take for weight loss purposes?

Yaar, if there was a pill like L-lysine that could magically burn my belly fat, I’d be buying it by the kilo. Honestly, don't waste your energy on these fancy names. Only eating less paneer tikka and walking more actually helps me.

L-lysine is just an amino acid that you can easily get from a balanced vegetarian diet. Eating more black beans, lentils, and soy products will give you enough natural lysine. No need to take concentrated supplements just to lose weight.

These specialty supplements are incredibly expensive and mostly useless for weight loss. Instead of spending 1500 rupees on a bottle, use that money to get a basic thyroid and lipid profile done. That will tell you what actually needs fixing.

L-lysine is great for immunity and skin, but there is very little proof that it actually causes weight loss. When you have hormone issues like PCOS, trying unverified supplements can sometimes backfire. It's safer to ask your gynecologist first.

L-lysine isn't a primary weight loss supplement; its main medical uses are quite different. Taking high doses without a doctor's recommendation can cause stomach cramps or kidney strain over time. Stick to a basic calorie deficit instead.

I didn't even know L-lysine could be used for weight loss, I thought it was only for cold sores. Is it actually safe to take daily for this? If anyone has tried it under a doctor's guidance, please let me know.
