How much cardio workout for weight loss?

I'm really committed to losing weight this year. I walk a lot, but someone told me I need proper cardio workouts. How much time should I dedicate to cardio for effective weight loss?

Daily weight loss ke liye at least 30 mins brisk walk toh lagta hi hai, ho na? It is simple and works best without putting too much strain on your knees if you are starting out after a long time.

I know how depressing it gets when you sweat on the treadmill daily and the scale doesn't move at all. Please don't be hard on yourself; start with short, joyful walks and focus on how much better you feel mentally rather than just burning calories.

I just went through this weight loss journey and managed to drop 8kg recently. I did 40 minutes of moderate cycling four days a week and kept my diet clean; doing too much cardio just makes you extra hungry and exhausted.

30 to 45 minutes of moderate cardio 4 times a week is plenty for weight loss, as long as your diet is also in check.

Don't make the mistake of running for hours every day; it will just burn out your muscles and stress your joints. Focus on 20-30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio, and spend the rest of your energy maintaining a healthy protein-rich diet.

Before starting any strenuous cardio workout routine, please get your blood pressure and heart health evaluated by a qualified physician. It is always better to be absolutely sure your body is ready for the physical exertion.

The sports medicine specialist at Fortis told me that cardio should be customized based on your joint health and BMI. You should ask your doctor clearly about what heart rate zone is safe and effective for your specific body type.
