How much carbs per day for weight loss?

I'm trying to shed a few kilos for a wedding coming up. Everyone keeps talking about carb counting for weight loss. How much carbs should I aim for everyday to see results?

Bro, I dropped 12kg last year by keeping my carbs under 100g on weekdays. I didn't stop eating rotis, just changed the size and added way more chicken and paneer to my meals. It works perfectly if you are consistent.

Agree with keeping it simple. Reducing dinner carbs to just one multi-grain chapati really helped me break my weight loss plateau.

I was actually reading up on this yesterday and got so confused by all the conflicting info online. Some say 50g, some say 150g is fine. I guess it really depends on your daily activity level and body type.

Losing weight at 53 is like trying to start a scooter in winter. I tried cutting carbs but it just made me very cranky and tired by 4 PM. Now I just eat a little less rice and hope my weighing scale understands my struggle.

Be very careful with sudden low-carb diets. I cut down my carbs drastically to under 50g and ended up with severe electrolyte imbalance and extreme fatigue. Please consult a doctor before making any extreme changes to your daily nutrition.

When managing weight with high BP, it is better to look at overall lifestyle instead of just carb numbers. I focus on lowering my salt and eating moderate complex carbs, along with regular checkups to monitor my pressure.

Ideally, for a healthy weight loss, carbohydrates should make up about 40% of your daily calories, which is roughly 120-150 grams for most adults. Make sure you are choosing complex carbs like oats and whole wheat rather than refined sugars so your energy levels don't crash.
