When I went to Kokilaben Hospital for my annual screening, the specialist clearly said there is no single safe limit of alcohol for everyone. You should speak directly to a physician who can check your blood markers and give you a clear answer.

Everyone's body tolerates alcohol differently, but heavy intake over years is generally what causes damage. Take care of yourself and try to keep your habits moderate.

Regular heavy drinking will definitely strain your liver and slow down your fitness progress. If you drink, try to limit it to occasional social events, eat clean, and stay highly active to keep your body functioning well.

I have been drinking 2-3 beers every weekend and now I am constantly worried about my liver. Does anyone else get this dull ache on the right side, or am I just overthinking things?

With our busy schedules, we don't have time to fall sick. If you drink more than 14 units a week, you are definitely entering the risk zone for liver damage, so try to keep it minimal.

Please be very careful because liver damage often has zero symptoms until it is quite advanced. I faced serious complications from regular moderate drinking, so I strongly urge you to get a doctor's advice.

Your liver works harder than most of us on a Monday morning! Keep the heavy drinking to a minimum so your poor liver doesn't go on a permanent strike.

I had elevated liver enzymes from heavy drinking last year. My doctor advised me that more than 3-4 drinks a day regularly is highly damaging, so I cut down completely and drank plenty of water to recover.

Instead of worrying, you can book a basic liver function test online for around 500 rupees. It is a very cheap way to get a clear picture of your liver health before making any assumptions.

Just like managing thyroid, keeping your liver healthy requires regular blood checkups like LFT. Don't guess the damage level yourself; consult your doctor and get tested every six months.
