How many sets and reps for weight loss?

I recently joined a gym and my goal is to lose some weight and get toned. My trainer gave me some exercises, but I'm not sure about the optimal sets and reps for weight loss. Could someone guide me?

For weight loss, I usually aim for 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps with moderate weight. The key is consistency and ensuring you're progressively overloading, even if it's just by a little bit. Don't forget your diet, that's like 70% of the game.

Honestly, weight loss ke liye, it's not just about sets and reps, it's about what suits YOUR body. Please consult a fitness expert or a doctor before starting any intense routine. You don't want to injure yourself, na?

Haan bhai, sets aur reps toh important hain, but focus on the form. Usually, log bolte hain 3 sets of 12-15 reps achha hai for fat loss. But saath mein cardio bhi add karna and diet ka dhyaan rakhna, tabhi farak padega.

Haha, sets aur reps toh theek hai, but mere liye toh sabse mushkil tha woh biryani aur samosa control karna! Honestly, if you don't control your khaana, kitne bhi sets laga lo, mushkil hi hai. But yeah, 3-4 sets of 12-15 reps is a good starting point.

When I was trying to lose weight, I started with 3 sets of 10-12 reps with lighter weights, focusing on full body workouts. Gradually, I increased the reps or the weight. Consistency is really what worked for me, more than just the numbers initially.

Instead of getting too caught up in exact numbers for sets and reps, try to find a routine you can stick to. Even 30-45 minutes of a mix of strength training and some cardio, 3-4 times a week, makes a huge difference. Focus on getting enough protein too, it really helps with feeling full.

It's tricky because everyone's body responds differently. For weight loss, especially if you have hormonal issues like PCOS, sometimes lighter weights with more reps (like 15-20) can be better, or even just focusing on compound movements. Don't push too hard too fast, try to find what feels right and sustainable for you. And definitely speak to a doctor or a coach who understands your specific needs.

Generally, for weight loss, a higher rep range (12-15 reps) with moderate weight is often recommended to create more metabolic stress, paired with shorter rest times between sets (30-60 seconds). Aim for 3-4 sets per exercise. But remember, listen to your body and adjust as needed.
