How many reps for weight loss?

I've started working out for weight loss and my trainer is giving me different rep ranges. What's the general advice on how many reps per set are best for weight loss, rather than just building muscle?

This is confusing, right? Sometimes I hear high reps, sometimes low reps with heavy weight. Does anyone else feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting info for weight loss? I just want a clear answer! What worked for you guys?

For weight loss, it is not just about the reps, it is about the whole lifestyle. My elders always say eat well and exercise. For lifting, some prefer higher reps like 10-15 for endurance and calorie burn, but please speak with a good trainer or doctor who can give you a proper plan according to your body. Don't just follow blindly.

Haha, if only there was a magical number of reps that made the weight disappear! 😉 For weight loss, it's usually a combination of moderate to high reps (think 10-15) with enough intensity, plus a good diet. The more you move and sweat, the better, generally!

Yo, for weight loss, it's not just about the reps, it's more about the overall workout and diet. But generally, higher reps (like 12-15) with moderate weight for more sets help burn more calories and build endurance. Don't forget cardio, though!

While there isn't a single 'magic' number, focusing on higher reps (10-15) with moderate weight can increase metabolic stress and calorie expenditure, which aids weight loss. However, strength training should be part of a holistic approach that includes a caloric deficit and cardiovascular exercise. Consulting a certified fitness trainer or doctor for a tailored plan is advisable.

Beta, for weight loss, the key is consistency and overall calorie deficit. When it comes to reps, it's not one fixed number. Combining both high reps for endurance and moderate reps with a bit more weight for muscle building works well. Don't just focus on reps, watch your food too.
