How many grams of sugar a day for weight loss?

I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake to lose weight and just be healthier. What's a good target for how many grams of sugar I should be eating a day for weight loss?

Because of my thyroid, my metabolism is slow, and my doctor advised keeping added sugar strictly below 15 grams daily. Make sure to get your hormone and blood levels checked regularly to see what is affecting your weight loss.

I know how stressful it is to look at nutrition labels and feel guilty over a single gram of sugar. Try not to stress too much; keeping added sugars below 20-25 grams is generally considered very healthy for weight loss.

For a healthy body, try to avoid refined white sugar entirely. Instead, you can have a tiny bit of natural jaggery or honey occasionally, keeping it under 15 grams, while maintaining a mindful, active lifestyle.

To lose weight and keep my diabetes in check, I keep added sugar to exactly zero. I only rely on natural sugars from a few berries or half an apple. It really accelerates weight loss and protects your pancreas.

Aim to keep added sugar below 20 grams a day, and make sure you walk for at least 30 minutes daily to burn off any excess glycogen. If your doctor permits, light strength training also helps massively with sugar metabolism.
