How long can early pregnancy cramping last?

Hi, I just found out I'm pregnant and have been having some mild cramping, a bit like period pain. My older sister told me it's normal, but I'm a bit worried and want to know how long this feeling usually lasts in early pregnancy. It's my first time, so everything feels new.

With my PCOS, I was extra anxious about early pregnancy symptoms. Mild cramping can last for several weeks as the uterus stretches, which is quite normal. However, please be cautious and mention it to your gynecologist just to be completely safe.

Early pregnancy cramping is just the baby starting to do some home renovation inside! It usually lasts for a few weeks off and on during the first trimester. Don't worry, but if the baby decides to use a jackhammer (severe pain), call the doctor!

I totally get it, experiencing any pain in early pregnancy can make you feel so scared and overwhelmed. Mild cramps can last off and on for a few weeks as your uterus grows. Please rest as much as possible, and don't hesitate to call your doctor if you feel uneasy.

During my first trimester, I experienced mild menstrual-like cramping on and off for about the first 4 to 6 weeks. It was just my body expanding. It resolved on its own as I entered the second trimester.

I am in my 6th week and the mild cramps are making me so anxious. Did anyone else feel this constant dull ache in their lower abdomen during early pregnancy? It would really help to know I'm not the only one worrying about this.

My elders told me that mild stretching pain is very common during the early weeks as the womb prepares. It usually settles down after a few weeks. However, if you see any spotting or heavy bleeding, please go to your gynecologist immediately.

Mild cramping is common for a few weeks in the first trimester. If you are worried, booking a basic ultrasound is quite affordable and will give you complete peace of mind. Plan a budget for regular prenatal checkups early on to avoid any stress.
