How early in pregnancy do you feel flutters?

I'm in my first trimester and really looking forward to feeling the baby move. My friend said she felt 'flutters' quite early on with her second child. How early do you typically start feeling these first movements, or 'flutters'?

My wife first felt those tiny flutters around the 18th week. Before that, it's mostly just stomach gas, so don't confuse the two early on.

Usually, you feel them between 18 and 22 weeks, and lying down quietly after a warm meal can help you notice them. But if you have reached 24 weeks and feel absolutely no movement, please consult your doctor.

I personally started feeling very faint butterfly-like movements around week 19 of my first pregnancy. It is a really beautiful feeling once it actually happens.

Don't expect to feel anything in the first few months, it usually happens around the 5th month. Just focus on keeping a simple, healthy diet and don't stress over comparing with others.

Humare yahan kehte hain ki paanchve mahine ke aas-paas thodi halchal mehsoos hoti hai. Bahut pyaara lagta hai, jaldi hi aapko bhi pata chalega.

I totally get it, you must be waiting so eagerly to feel your baby move for the first time. For most first-time moms, it happens around week 18 to 20, so please don't worry if it hasn't happened yet.

With my PCOS and a slightly higher BMI, my doctor told me it might take longer to feel movements. I only noticed the first flutters around week 21, so don't compare your timeline with others.

During my first pregnancy, I was so anxious about not feeling any flutters even by week 17. My doctor told me it's totally normal and I finally felt them around week 20, so please give it time.
