How early does a pregnancy test work after conception?

I think there's a chance I might be pregnant, but my period is still a few days away. I'm so impatient to know for sure. How soon after conception can these home pregnancy tests actually give a reliable result?

Listen, there is no point testing just 3-4 days after intercourse. Wait for at least 14 days or till you actually miss your period, otherwise you will just get a confusing negative result.

Home tests are generally reliable from the first day of your missed period, which is about 2 weeks after conception. If you have had past complications, go for a beta hCG blood test at a clinic as it detects pregnancy much earlier.

Agree with waiting. A home test works best when it's done using the first morning urine, about two weeks after conception.

Hormones take about 10-12 days post-conception to show up in urine, so testing before that is mostly ineffective. Keep focus on your regular daily workouts and clean eating while you wait for the right day to test.

In our days, patience was key and we waited well past the missed date. Testing too early only brings unnecessary tension, so give it at least 12 to 14 days after conception.
