How early can pregnancy be detected?

My period is two days late, and I'm getting quite anxious. I want to take a test, but I'm not sure if it's too soon. How soon can a pregnancy actually be confirmed, like accurately?

You can detect it as early as 10-12 days after conception via a blood test. If you are planning, start focusing on leafy greens and folic-rich vegetarian foods early on, but do ask a dietitian first.

My partner got a faint positive line on a home kit just 2 days before her missed period. So yeah, about 12 days after we ovulated it was already showing up.

I know how incredibly stressful the waiting game can be, your mind just goes in loops. To save yourself the anxiety, try waiting until the day of your missed period for a reliable home urine test.

From what I have researched, some highly sensitive home tests can pick it up 4 to 5 days before your missed period, though waiting for the missed period gives the most accurate results.

A blood hCG test at a lab can detect pregnancy about 9 to 11 days after ovulation. Home kits are great, but if you want 100% certainty early on, just get a blood test done.

In our days, we had to wait patiently for a missed period and then go to the clinic. Nowadays these modern kits can tell you even before you skip a day, science is moving too fast for us!

I got my first positive test exactly on the day my period was due. Doing it any earlier can sometimes give a false negative, so it is honestly better to wait a little for a clear result.
