How early after conception pregnancy test?
My period is a few days late now, and I'm really anxious. Someone told me it's best to wait, but how early can I actually take a pregnancy test after conception?

Honestly, I tried testing just 6 days after we tried and got a big negative, which made me so sad. When I waited till my missed period date, it finally showed a faint positive line. Better to wait a bit so you don't get unnecessary stress.
Beta, don't rush these things, our bodies take time. In our days, we just waited for the next cycle to miss and kept our bodies warm with light homemade soup and ginger tea. Take rest and test only after your date has passed comfortably.
I am also in the same boat right now, just 8 days past ovulation and the wait is killing me. Did anyone else get a positive this early or am I just testing too soon and stressing myself out for no reason?
I completely understand how nerve-wracking this waiting period can be, it literally consumes your mind. But testing too early will only give you half-answers and double the anxiety. Give it at least 10 to 12 days so your mind can be at peace with a clear result.
While waiting, focus on eating warm, home-cooked food and avoid lifting heavy things, just like our mothers suggest. But if you have any sudden sharp pain on one side or spotting, please don't wait for home test results and see a doctor immediately.
Oh god, I remember searching the internet every hour during my time. What if the urine is too diluted, or what if the kit is faulty? To be safe, wait till the day of your missed period and use the very first morning pee, that's when the hormone levels are actually high enough.
According to my fitness tracker's cycle logs, implantation usually happens around 6 to 12 days after ovulation. The hCG hormone takes another couple of days to build up. So tracking apps generally suggest testing 14 days after ovulation for 99% accuracy.

Agree with everyone here. Waiting for at least 12 days after conception is the safest bet to get a correct result on those home kits.
My doctor at Apollo told me that home urine tests are only reliable around the time of your missed period. If you are really anxious, you can go to a clinic and ask for a beta-hCG blood test. They can detect it much earlier and more accurately than home kits.
Just went through this last month! I got a very faint line 4 days before my period was due using a high sensitivity kit. But honestly, the line was so light I had to double check under the light, so waiting for the missed period is definitely best to avoid confusion.
