How accurate is first response pregnancy test when testing early?

My period isn't due for another two days, and I couldn't wait, so I used a First Response test today. It was negative, but I'm wondering if it's because I tested too early. How accurate are these tests really when used before a missed period?

Hey sweetie, don't stress too much! First Response is super sensitive and can pick up the pregnancy hormone very early, but testing before your missed period can sometimes give false negatives if the hCG level is still low. Grab a cup of tea and try testing again in two days.

I know how heavy the emotional toll of waiting can be, and how tempting it is to test early. First Response is one of the most reliable tests out there, but those early faint lines can cause so much heartbreak and confusion. Sending you a lot of strength during this wait.

Honestly, early testing just leads to staring at plastic sticks at 3 AM with bleary eyes. The test is accurate, but your sanity is more important. Save yourself the midnight panic and wait until your period is actually late before you start testing.

From my experience with thyroid fluctuations affecting my cycles, early testing can be tricky because ovulation dates can shift. While First Response is highly accurate, it is best to confirm with a doctor-guided beta-hCG blood test if your period is delayed.

In our times, we didn't have such fancy early tests, we just had to wait patiently. First Response works very well, but if you test too early, the body hasn't made enough hormones yet. Drink a little warm ginger tea to soothe your nerves and try again in 3-4 days.

While early tests have a high sensitivity rate, a negative result before your missed period is not definitive. For safety and absolute accuracy, wait for the actual day of your missed period, and always consult your gynecologist to confirm with a scan or blood work.
