Does wellcare cover weight loss medication?

My blood pressure has been quite high lately, and the doctor said losing weight is critical. I was looking into some medication options. Would my insurance policy, something like Wellcare, typically cover weight loss medicines?

Dude, insurance stuff is so complicated, my head hurts just looking at the documents. From what my roommate told me, they usually don't cover weight loss pills unless it's super urgent.

I feel we rely too much on medications these days. Gentle yoga and mindful eating can do what no medicine can, but do check with your provider for coverage details.

Actually, yaar, these plans are very tricky. They straight up reject weight loss meds saying it is cosmetic, which is so stupid honestly.

Listen, don't waste time guessing. Call their customer care directly and ask them to check the drug list for your policy number, that is the only real way.

Hey, don't stress too much about this. If they don't cover it, your doctor can definitely suggest some other affordable options that work just as well.

Instead of running behind expensive medicines that insurance might not cover, we should look at basic lifestyle changes. A regular morning walk and cutting out sugar works best for our budget and health.

I recently went through this and they denied my coverage. I had to appeal with my doctor's help showing my pre-diabetic blood reports to finally get it approved.
