Does weight loss lower blood pressure?

My blood pressure has been on the higher side for a while, and my doctor has advised me to lose some weight. I'm trying to make lifestyle changes, but I'm curious how much impact losing weight actually has. Will weight loss effectively lower my blood pressure?

I tried drinking garlic water and honey daily, but my high BP only came under control when I lost 6 kgs. Simple weight management and reducing salt is the most practical solution.

Actually yaar, it makes a huge difference. My doctor had warned me about my rising BP, but once I lost some weight, my levels became totally normal without any meds.

Don't stress too much about the numbers! Just focus on basic things like eating clean and dropping a bit of weight, and your blood pressure will naturally settle down.

Losing weight definitely helps, but please check with your doctor before stopping any BP medication. It needs to be monitored properly by a medical professional.

Yes, losing fat reduces the strain on your heart, which lowers blood pressure. A clean diet and consistent cardio/walking is the best way to manage it.

From what I have seen over the years, losing even 5 kgs can drop your blood pressure significantly. Keep your dinners light and walk daily, it works wonders.

It definitely does. If your doctor allows, start with 30 minutes of brisk walking daily; it helps with both weight loss and naturally lowering your blood pressure.
