Does weight loss help reduce cellulite?

I've been trying to reduce the cellulite on my thighs and buttocks for a while now. While exercising and eating healthy, I'm wondering if just losing overall body weight would help with cellulite. Will weight loss directly reduce its appearance?

My aunt told me to try oil massages, but my doctor explained that cellulite is just fat under the skin. Losing weight helped make it less noticeable, though it didn't disappear completely.

Honestly, weight loss helps but you also need to build muscle. Just dieting made my skin look loose, but adding some basic strength training really firmed up the areas.

I panicked thinking it was some skin circulation problem, but my doctor reassured me it is just standard cellulite. Losing a bit of weight helps, but please don't stress over it, almost everyone has it!

I used to feel so self-conscious about the dimples on my thighs and worried it was a health issue. It is completely normal, but yes, dropping some body fat definitely made the skin look smoother for me.

I can only speak from my own experience, but when I lost around 8 kgs and started drinking more water, the skin on my thighs looked much tighter and better.

Staying active and drinking plenty of water helps keep the skin healthy. You can also try dry brushing gently before a warm bath, along with keeping a healthy weight.
