Does wearing a weighted vest help with weight loss?

I'm trying to step up my workout routine to lose some extra weight. I saw some fitness influencers using weighted vests, and they claim it burns more calories. Does wearing a weighted vest actually help you lose weight faster?

It definitely helps burn extra calories, but you will look like you are training for a secret mission while walking in your colony! It basically makes your body work harder, but please don't start jumping around with it unless you want to anger your knees!

I know how desperate we can feel to speed up weight loss, trying every single tool available. I bought a weighted vest out of frustration, but it was so heavy and painful on my shoulders that it made me hate working out. Please be kind to your body, simple consistent walks are enough.

Honestly, don't stress too much about buying fancy gear like weighted vests. They do increase the intensity of your walks, but simple calorie control and regular walking will get you the same results without hurting your back. Keep it simple, bro!

A weighted vest increases your energy expenditure during movement, which can support weight loss. However, it adds significant stress to your joints and spine, so it is best to consult an orthopedic doctor or a physical trainer before using one, especially if you have joint issues.

I panicked and bought a heavy vest thinking my weight loss had stalled completely, and then got terrible back pain. I later realized plateaus are totally normal and just increasing my daily steps naturally without any extra weight worked perfectly. It is a slow process, don't worry.

Please ask your doctor or physiotherapist clearly before using a weighted vest, especially if you are overweight. At our hospital, the doctor warned me that carrying extra artificial weight can severely strain your knees and lower back if your core strength isn't ready. Safety first.
