Does water fasting help with weight loss?

My friend has been trying water fasting for weight loss and claims it works wonders. I'm curious if this method is safe and effective for shedding kgs.

Honestly, water fasting can be very harsh on the body, especially if you have hormonal issues like PCOS. I tried it once and it totally messed up my cycle and made me super weak. Please be very careful and ask a doctor before trying this.

I totally get it, when we want to lose weight quickly, we look for extreme things like water fasting. But it is very hard to sustain and you might gain all the weight back once you start eating normally. Take it easy on yourself.

Beta, hamare shastron mein upvas ka mahatva hai, par khali paani par rehna sabke bas ki baat nahi. Isse shareer mein kamzori aa sakti hai. Kuch halka fulka khao aur dhyan se upvas karo agar karna hai toh.

I did a 48-hour water fast last year just to see how it feels. Personally, I lost about 2 kgs but felt extremely dizzy and had a massive headache by the second day. I won't do it again because it felt too extreme for my body.

Fasting is a good way to give your digestive system a break, but we must do it with peace, not out of desperation to lose weight. Listen to your body and don't push it into starvation. Stay blessed.
