Does vyvanse help with weight loss?

A friend told me that Vyvanse, which is prescribed for ADHD, can also help with weight loss. I've been trying to lose weight for a while. Is it true that Vyvanse is effective for weight loss?

Actually, I was looking this up recently and found that Vyvanse is FDA-approved for Binge Eating Disorder, which is why it helps some people lose weight by reducing cravings. It's interesting how it works on brain chemistry to curb appetite.

I can only share what happened to me. When I started it for my ADHD, I noticed my constant urge to snack completely went away and I naturally lost some weight. But everyone's body is different, so I can't say if it works the same for everyone.

My family always advises natural ways to stay fit, like drinking warm water with lemon. However, for clinical conditions, we must trust the specialists. My doctor explained that while Vyvanse suppresses appetite, it should never be taken solely as a weight loss pill unless prescribed for a specific eating disorder.

Using stimulants purely for weight loss is not a sustainable strategy. True fitness comes from a consistent calorie deficit and daily physical activity. If you are prescribed Vyvanse, the weight loss is just a side effect, so you still need a proper diet and workout routine.

The urge to overeat often comes from a restless mind. While certain medications can suppress hunger chemically, practicing slow deep breathing and yoga can help you control your cravings naturally. Always consult your doctor before using any strong medicine for weight control.
