Does vyvanse cause weight loss?

I'm considering Vyvanse for my ADHD, and I've read online that some people experience weight changes. I was wondering if Vyvanse commonly causes weight loss as a side effect?

Weight loss is indeed a very common side effect of Vyvanse due to appetite suppression. However, if the weight loss is rapid or excessive, you must get it checked by your doctor immediately to rule out any adverse reaction.

Yes, it can cause weight loss because it kills your appetite. If you are active, make sure you are still hitting your daily protein targets and doing some light exercise so you don't end up losing healthy muscle mass instead of fat.

I panicked so much when I lost 4 kgs in the first month! I thought something was seriously wrong with me. But my doctor reassured me that it is completely normal with stimulants, and my weight stabilized once my body adjusted.

Since I have high blood pressure, my doctor closely monitors my weight and heart rate on stimulants. While Vyvanse can cause weight loss, you must ensure your vitals are stable. Regular blood pressure checkups are a must.

I keep checking my weight on the scale twice a day because I am so scared of losing too much. It does make you lose weight because you forget to eat, which is a bit scary. Just try to keep some healthy snacks near you and stay safe.

Losing my appetite completely made me feel so disconnected from my family during dinner times, and it was emotionally really hard. The weight loss was visible and people kept asking me if I was sick. Please talk to your doctor if it starts affecting your mental well-being.
