Does vitamin'd deficiency cause weight gain?

My doctor recently told me I have low Vitamin D levels. I've also noticed some unexplained weight gain lately, even though my diet hasn't changed much. Could there be a connection between the two, actually?

My daughter went through this last year during her exams when she was staying indoors all day. She suddenly gained weight and felt tired all the time. Our doctor told us that low vitamin D makes kids sluggish and affects metabolism, but with regular supplements and playing in the park, she got much better. Please get a simple blood test done for peace of mind.

Honestly, I don't know if it's the lack of vitamin D or just my late-night maggi cravings making me gain weight. But my doctor said low D levels make you feel tired all day, so you barely want to move. No wonder I just lie on the couch looking at my running shoes. Definitely get your levels checked!

Actually, when my vitamin D was super low, my appetite was all over the place and I was constantly craving sweet snacks. Once I started my weekly supplements, my mood got better and those random pastry cravings thoda control mein aa gaye. It definitely has a connection with how we eat!

Yes, there is a strong link. Low vitamin D can affect insulin sensitivity and make your body store fat more easily. I always tell people to get a lab test before starting high-dose supplements, because taking too much is also not good. Talk to your doc, they will prescribe the right weekly dose.

I was struggling with unexplained weight gain for six months even though my diet was normal. Did a full body checkup and my Vitamin D was down to 12! After taking the weekly 60k capsules for two months, my energy is back and my weight is finally starting to budge. Do get tested soon.

Hey, don't stress too much about the weight gain right now! It happens to so many of us because we are stuck in offices all day without sunlight. Just get your levels checked and talk to a doctor. Once you start supplements, your energy will shoot up and everything will fall back into place, trust me.

Low vitamin D can slow your body down, which makes weight management hard. Instead of buying expensive health drinks, just get a simple blood report first. If it is low, the doctor will give cheap tablets, and you should try sitting in the morning sun for 15 minutes ghar ki balcony mein. It really helps without costing anything.

Yes, it absolutely can. My doctor confirmed that low vitamin D slows down metabolism and causes weight issues.
