Does reformer pilates help with weight loss?

I'm looking for a new exercise routine to help me lose weight, and I've seen a lot of people doing reformer pilates lately. It looks interesting, but I'm not sure if it's actually effective for weight loss. Does it really help?

I tried pilates once, and oh my god, the core burn is real! But honestly, after a tough session, I just crave a big plate of butter chicken, which ruins everything. If you can control your post-workout appetite, it definitely helps tone your muscles!

I see all these celebrities doing reformer pilates on Instagram and it looks so cool but intense. I am trying to research if it is actually effective for weight loss or if it is just a trendy way to tone up. It seems quite expensive too!

Because of my thyroid, my metabolism is slow and high-intensity workouts stress my body too much. Reformer pilates is great because it is low-impact and doesn't spike cortisol. Make sure you keep checking your thyroid levels while adjusting your exercise routine.

I joined pilates with my sister last month. It is great for flexibility and core strength, but for pure fat burn, gym or running is much faster. It didn't help me lose much weight directly, but my posture has improved a lot.

Please be careful on the reformer machine. I rushed into it without proper guidance, pulled a muscle in my lower back, and had to go to the hospital for physiotherapy. Consult your doctor first if you have any existing joint or back issues.

I lost about 8 kgs doing reformer pilates three times a week coupled with a strict diet. It won't work alone unless you are in a calorie deficit, but it completely changed my body shape and tightened my loose skin.

I went for my first class and felt so clumsy on the carriage, I was terrified of falling off. Does anyone else find it incredibly hard and intimidating at first? I hope it gets easier and actually helps me lose some weight.
