Does psyllium husk help with weight loss?

Working on losing weight and improving my digestion, I recently got a recommendation from a family friend to add psyllium husk to my routine, saying it helps with satiety. Does psyllium husk actually aid in weight loss?

Psyllium husk (Isabgol) helps you feel full because of its high fiber content, which can prevent overeating. However, it is not a magic fat burner. You must combine it with a balanced diet for actual results.

It aids digestion and helps control hunger pangs by expanding in your stomach. But taking too much can cause bloating or blockages. It is always best to consult a clinical nutritionist or doctor before using it daily.

I tried taking lots of Isabgol for quick weight loss without drinking enough water, and ended up with severe constipation. Don't self-medicate blindly; get a proper diet plan from a professional.

I totally get it, trying to find easy ways to manage weight is so stressful. Isabgol does help in keeping you full, but make sure you drink a full glass of water right after taking it so it doesn't cause stomach pain.

I started taking it three days ago and I feel super bloated and heavy. Did anyone else feel this way in the beginning, or am I doing something wrong?

Bro, it basically just fills your stomach with gel so you eat less roti. It works, but don't expect miracles if your overall diet is full of junk.

My doctor at Fortis told me that psyllium husk is good for cholesterol and satiety, but not a direct weight-loss tool. Ask your doctor clearly about the right dosage so it doesn't interfere with your other nutrient absorption.

It's basically a sponge for your stomach! It keeps you full, but if you don't drink enough water, it sits there like a rock. Drink up, unless you want to feel like a cement mixer.

Be cautious with fiber supplements. I had severe abdominal cramps when I started taking it daily. If you have any digestive issues, consult a doctor first before starting psyllium husk.

Isabgol se pet bhara rehta hai toh weight loss mein thodi help toh hoti hai, haan na. Par sirf ye peene se weight kam nahi hoga, thoda exercise bhi karna padega.

Isabgol is a very cheap and effective fiber source compared to those costly weight loss powders. Just buy the basic unflavored one from any local chemist, it works the same and saves you money.

I use Isabgol regularly. It keeps my digestion smooth and stops my evening cravings. Take one teaspoon in warm water 30 minutes before your dinner, and stay consistent.

I know how stressful weight issues can be, but don't rush into taking too many supplements. Isabgol is safe, but start with a very small quantity to see how your stomach reacts first.

High fiber like Isabgol is good for heart health and keeping BP stable, which indirectly helps with weight. Just make sure to monitor your overall lifestyle and get regular doctor checkups.
