Does potato starch help with weight loss?

I saw a few videos on social media promoting potato starch as a weight loss aid because of its resistant starch content. Does potato starch really help in shedding kilos, or is it just another health trend, actually?

I am barely surviving on 4 hours of sleep and now I hear potato starch helps with weight loss? Sounds like another internet trend that will just give me gas instead of abs.

Honestly, potato starch sounds like a weird way to lose weight. I'd rather just skip the fries and go for a jog, much simpler and actually works.

When I asked my clinical dietician at Apollo about these resistant starches, she advised me to stick to whole foods instead. Better to ask your doctor clearly before trying such internet diet hacks.

No, it doesn't really help much with weight loss directly. Focus on a balanced diet instead.

Some people say resistant starch in potatoes can help keep you full, but nothing replaces active movement. Try doing a brisk 45-minute walk daily if your doctor says you are fit for it.
