Does peeing help with weight loss?

My friend who is trying to lose weight told me that frequent urination can help with weight loss. Does peeing actually contribute to shedding kilos? I'm curious if there's any science behind this idea.

Haha, if only it were that simple! You might feel a tiny bit lighter immediately after, but that's just water weight, not the fat from that butter chicken we ate yesterday.

I used to panic when I saw the weight scale drop after a bathroom visit, thinking my body was fluctuating too much. It's totally normal water fluctuation, don't worry, it's not real fat loss.

If you are peeing excessively and losing weight rapidly, please see a doctor. I ignored these exact symptoms and it turned out to be severe undiagnosed diabetes that landed me in the hospital.

Real fat loss only comes from a good diet and daily movement. Peeing just removes waste and excess water from the body, it won't help you lose actual weight.

No, it doesn't. Anyone telling you that peeing more helps with fat loss is giving you wrong info. Eat less junk, drink normal water, and sweat it out.

Don't fall for expensive 'detox' pills that make you pee more to lose weight. They just dehydrate you and can damage your kidneys. Stick to a simple home diet, it's free and safe.
