Does oolong tea help with weight loss?

I'm trying to cut down on sugary drinks and was looking for healthier alternatives. I came across oolong tea, and some articles claim it helps with metabolism. Does oolong tea help with weight loss, or are the benefits overstated?

It can support your metabolism slightly, but don't expect miracles from tea alone. I have been drinking it for a year now and it mostly helps with digestion after heavy meals. Real weight loss still requires consistent portion control.

If you enjoy the taste, definitely go ahead and drink it. Just don't stress yourself out buying expensive brands thinking it will melt fat overnight. Just focus on sleeping well, drinking normal water, and walking daily.

People on social media make every new tea sound like a miracle weight loss cure. There is very little solid scientific evidence backing these claims. Speak to a certified dietician instead of spending money on expensive herbal teas.

Think of oolong tea as a healthy replacement for your high-sugar milk teas or sodas. It has antioxidants that are great for your overall health, but there is no magic fat-burning chemical in it. Make sure you maintain a basic calorie deficit.

These imported oolong teas are quite expensive in the market. Instead of spending thousands on fancy teas, it is much better to spend 500 rupees on a basic thyroid and lipid profile test first to see why weight loss is slow.

Honestly, tea is just a tool for hydration. It might give a tiny boost to your metabolic rate, but you won't drop fat unless your daily food intake and workouts are on point. Keep lifting weights and use the tea just for a clean caffeine kick.

I can only share what happened with me. I drank two cups of oolong tea daily for two months without changing my sedentary lifestyle or eating habits, and my weight did not budge even a single gram.
