Does magnesium glycinate cause weight loss?

I've started taking magnesium glycinate for better relaxation. I'm also trying to lose weight, so I'm curious about any potential side effects. Does magnesium glycinate cause weight loss, or is it neutral in that regard?

I completely understand why you are looking into this, weight loss journeys can feel so overwhelming and stressful. Magnesium glycinate won't directly burn fat, but it really helps with anxiety and sleep, which can stop stress-eating. Take care of yourself first.

Honestly, I have been taking it for my PMS anxiety and sleep. I didn't lose any weight from it, but I definitely feel less bloated because my sleep cycle improved. It's great for health, but don't buy it just for weight loss, dear.

Stay positive and let your body heal at its own pace. Magnesium glycinate brings calmness to your nervous system, and a calm mind naturally makes healthier food choices. Do not stress about weight loss, just take care of your inner balance.

As a friend, let me tell you that magnesium glycinate is mostly prescribed for better sleep and muscle relaxation. It doesn't have any fat-melting properties. If you sleep better, your cortisol drops, which might indirectly help with weight, but that's about it.

Haha, I wish it did! I would have been super thin by now with the amount of magnesium I take to get some sleep. Sadly, my weight is exactly the same, but at least I am slightly less of a zombie in the mornings.

I also started taking it last week and was hoping it might help me lose a bit of weight. Did anyone actually see any change on the scale, or is it just for calming the mind? I am a bit confused.

There is no clinical evidence to suggest that magnesium glycinate causes direct weight loss. It is excellent for reducing stress and improving sleep quality. For a structured weight loss plan, consulting a certified dietician is always the best approach.
