Does losartan cause hair loss in women?

My doctor put me on Losartan for my high blood pressure. I'm already worried about my hair thinning due to age, and I heard some medications can make it worse. Is hair loss a known side effect of Losartan specifically for women?

Listen, don't stress too much about this, okay? Tension will only make your hair fall out faster! If you really feel losartan is causing it, talk to your doctor and ask for an alternative BP medicine that is gentler on your hair.

I totally get how scary hair loss is for us. While some women do report hair thinning on losartan, it is honestly not that common. Instead of worrying, try checking your iron and B12 levels first, as these are usually the culprits.

I experienced some hair thinning too when my BP meds were changed. I started applying lukewarm onion juice and coconut oil once a week, which really helped my scalp. But please don't stop your prescribed medicine without asking your doctor first.

Oh God, I also keep checking my hairbrush every single day after starting this medicine! It is so stressful. But my sister, who is a doctor, told me not to panic as severe hair loss from losartan is incredibly rare.

I have been managing my high BP with losartan for three years. I had some hair fall initially, but the doctor did a blood test and found my vitamin D was extremely low. Once that was treated, my hair became normal again.

Before blaming the medicine, make sure you are getting enough protein in your diet every day. Many women don't hit their protein goals, which triggers hair fall. Pair your workouts with good nutrition, and then see if the shedding stops.

Don't lose your smile over this! 🌸 It's a very uncommon side effect. Make sure you are eating healthy greens and drinking lots of water. Your doctor can always help you switch if you feel it's causing issues! ✨

Haan na, women already have so many hair worries, and then these medicines add more tension. Actually, my neighbor had the same doubt. She spoke to her doctor who adjusted her dose slightly, and now she is doing fine, ho na.

Keep your mind calm and stay positive, dear. Our bodies reflect our internal peace. While taking your blood pressure medicine regularly, practice simple breathing exercises and keep faith that things will improve.

My mom was super worried about this when she started her new BP pills. Honestly, we googled it and got so scared, but her doctor said it's very rare. She's been on it for six months now and her hair is totally fine.
