Does lisinopril cause hair loss in women?

I've recently started lisinopril for my blood pressure. I'm already experiencing some hair thinning, and I'm worried it might get worse. Does lisinopril cause hair loss in women?

Honestly, before you run to get expensive trichology tests or buy costly hair serums, check with your government hospital or local clinic doc first. Changing to a different BP medicine is often much cheaper and might solve the hair issue directly. Plan your blood tests carefully so you don't waste money on unnecessary hormone panels.

Please don't worry too much. This is a known side effect for some people but it usually gets better. Just talk to your doctor once and they will help you safely.

Any kind of sudden hair loss or reaction while on BP meds should be reported to your cardiologist or physician. Don't stop taking the tablet on your own because that can cause your blood pressure to spike dangerously. Let a proper doctor evaluate and guide you.

I started this medicine last month and my hair brush is literally full of hair every single day. Did this start suddenly for anyone else too? Please tell me if it stops after some time or if I should just call my doctor immediately, I am getting really stressed looking at my scalp.

Dekho, tension lene se hair fall aur badhega. Yes, lisinopril can sometimes cause thinning in some women, but it is not permanent. Go to your doc, tell them frankly about the hair loss, and ask them to switch the molecular class. Simple.
