Does lemon juice and water help with weight loss?

My wife has been drinking lemon juice and water every day to try and lose some weight. She heard it speeds up metabolism. Does this combination really help with weight loss, or is it more about diet and exercise?

I tried lemon water every single morning for two months and didn't lose even 100 grams. Once I actually started tracking my daily protein and hitting the gym, the weight flew off. Skip the lemon water hype and focus on lifting weights.

Lemon water is a lovely way to hydrate yourself in the morning, but please don't view it as a weight-loss miracle. It works best when you use it to replace high-calorie teas or packaged juices. Consistent clean eating is what truly matters.

Let's be real, lemon water has zero fat-burning properties. It is just water with some vitamin C. If you want to lose weight, create a calorie deficit; there is no shortcut around that.

From a practical health perspective, lemon water is just excellent for keeping your hydration levels up and preventing kidney stones. But physically melting body fat is a different biochemical process. Focus on active movement and portion control instead.

My physician at Apollo clearly told me that there is no clinical evidence supporting lemon water for weight loss. He suggested I work with a certified nutritionist to build a proper diet plan rather than relying on home remedies.

I know how hard it is when you are trying everything and still not seeing results on the scale. I used to drink sour lemon water on an empty stomach and hate every sip of it. Please don't force yourself to drink it if you don't like it, it's not a magic cure.

It only helps with hydration and cutting sweet cravings. Don't expect it to melt fat on its own.
