Does lemon ginger tea help with weight loss?

My aunt drinks lemon ginger tea every morning and has lost a lot of weight. I'm thinking of trying it for my own weight loss journey. Does lemon ginger tea genuinely help with losing weight?

Lemon ginger tea is a beautiful way to kindle the digestive fire, or Agni, in the morning. However, it only supports your metabolism gently; it is not a direct tool for weight loss. True weight control comes when you combine clean eating with daily pranayama.

When my weight kept increasing due to thyroid, I tried drinking lemon ginger tea thrice a day, but nothing changed. If you are struggling with unexplained weight gain, please get your TSH levels checked and consult your doctor rather than relying on tea.

I know how frustrating it is when you are desperately trying to lose weight and looking for any small hope. I used to drink ginger lemon tea religiously and cry when the scale didn't budge. Be kind to yourself, it is just a comforting drink, not a weight loss solution.

I drink ginger tea occasionally, but with my high blood pressure, I focus mostly on a low-salt diet and regular cardio. Lemon ginger tea might feel refreshing, but don't expect it to replace proper medical checkups and a healthy lifestyle for weight management.

I actually lost 8 kgs recently. While I did drink lemon ginger tea because it kept me away from milky tea with sugar, the weight loss only happened because I counted my daily calories and walked 10k steps. The tea is just a calorie-free substitute, not a fat burner.

My nutritionist at Aster Medcity explicitly told me that no tea can magically melt body fat. She advised me to stop looking for quick herbal remedies and stick to the customized diet plan. It is always better to get professional advice from a hospital dietitian.
