Because hormones are so interconnected, HRT can cause either weight gain or loss depending on your baseline thyroid function. When I started hormone therapy, my metabolism fluctuated a lot until my doctor adjusted my doses. Please get your thyroid and hormone levels tested regularly to ensure everything stays in balance.

Hey, don't stress too much about the weight thing! Some people bloating feel karte hain and some actually lose weight because their energy levels improve. Just focus on feeling good, eat your ghar ka khana, and let your doctor handle the technical stuff. You'll be totally fine!

Look, it is completely normal to feel confused about how your body will react to HRT. It can go either way because every individual's metabolism is unique, and sometimes it's just initial water retention. Don't worry, just take it one day at a time under proper medical guidance and we will figure it out.

Hormones have a direct impact on insulin sensitivity, which is why HRT can cause fluctuations in your weight. For some, it helps control visceral fat, while others might feel more hungry and gain. It is crucial to watch your carbohydrate intake and consult your physician to track your metabolic health during the therapy.

I am so scared of starting HRT because I really don't want to gain weight, but then some people say they actually lost weight on it. Did anyone else feel super anxious and confused by these conflicting stories before starting? How did your body actually react in the first few months?

I totally get it, worrying about weight changes when you are already dealing with hormonal issues is so exhausting. Actually, HRT can cause temporary water retention which looks like weight gain, but as your hormones balance out, it can also help with weight management. Just be kind to your body during this transition phase.
