Does greek yogurt help with weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and have started incorporating Greek yogurt into my diet. Does Greek yogurt actually help with weight loss, or is it just a healthy snack option?

At my age, my metabolism has basically gone on a permanent holiday, so I have to eat this sour Greek yogurt instead of my beloved sweet lassi. It does help because the high protein keeps my stomach quiet till lunchtime, preventing me from raiding the biscuit tin. It is a sad but effective trade-off!

Oh, it's great for weight loss, as long as you don't buy the strawberry flavored ones that have as much sugar as a Gulab Jamun! Stick to the plain, unsweetened version and pretend it's ice cream. Your waistline will definitely thank you for the protein boost.

Greek yogurt bought from stores is actually quite expensive in India. A cheaper option is to just hang your homemade curd (dahi) in a muslin cloth for an hour to drain the whey water. You get the same thick, high-protein hung curd at a fraction of the cost.

Bro, Greek yogurt is a lifesaver in the hostel when you don't get enough protein from mess food. I just mix a scoop of whey or some honey in it after my workouts. It keeps me full for hours so I don't order late-night maggi, which definitely helps with keeping the weight down.

I used to feel so guilty about my evening cravings and would end up crying over my diet failures. Switching to plain Greek yogurt with a few berries helped because it actually satisfied my hunger without making me feel bloated or guilty. It really helped ease my food anxiety.
